I find the easiest thing about basic map skills to be locating countries/continents and oceans. I think it's easier than the others because if you just had a list of all the places and oceans,if you could just study once a week and look at a map you would be good.
I struggled the most with cordinates because I didn't know the exact spot of all of the places. You have to know where the mountains are and where the ocean and everything around it is.
